Abstract

The Koran is the holy book for the Islamic ummah as well as a guide in living life towards happiness in this world and the hereafter. It has become an obligation for every Muslim community to study and understand the contents of the Koran so that the messages that the Koran wants to convey are conveyed correctly according to the meaning of the contents of God's word. The phenomenon that is happening today is that there are so many Muslims whose literacy skills in the Koran are problematic, so that, let alone understanding the contents of the Koran, their ability to read and write the Koran is still questionable, especially for the children of illegal immigrants in Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur. . This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with field research. The aim of this research is to look at the Al-Quran literacy skills of children of illegal immigrants (Illegal Immigrants) in Malaysia, especially children who study at the Sentul learning studio. Based on the results of this research, the author found that the majority of illegal immigrant children have very low Al-Quran literacy skills which are caused by a number of factors including the availability of teachers, busy parents and learning opportunities.
