Representasi Nilai-Nilai Pancasila Dalam Naskah Drama ‘Audatul Firdaus dan Novel Max Havelaar: Kajian Sastra Bandingan

Abstract

This study aims to represent the values ​​of Pancasila in the play Audatul Firdaus by Ali Ahmad Bakastir and the novel Max Havelaar by Multatuli. Audatul Firdaus is a drama script that tells about the condition of the Indonesian nation in 1945, namely the end of the second world war where Japan had just suffered its biggest defeat due to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which caused Japan to surrender unconditionally to the allied forces. Max Havelaar is a novel that tells about the main character Max Havelaar who is described as a just leader, who is willing to sacrifice his personal rights for the benefit of others. However, it was not uncommon for Max Havelaar to receive the opposite treatment from his own superiors. This novel was first published in 1860, which is recognized as a very important work of Dutch literature because it pioneered a new style of writing. The two literary works will be compared in a study from a comparative literary point of view. Comparative literature is an important thing in the development of literary works. One of the important aspects in comparative literature research is point of view or perspective. This study uses a descriptive research method with qualitative. The results of this study are that there are similarities in the drama script 'Audatul Firdaus and the novel Max Havelaar. Apart from the fact that these two literary works have the same background and plot about Indonesia, these two literary works also use the noble values ​​of the Indonesian people which form the foundation of their literature. This can also prove that Pancasila is a philosophy that has existed for a long time and has been passed down from generation to generation to the next generation of the Indonesian nation.
