The purpose of this research is to identify the types of errors in writing adad wal madud by STIBA Ar-Raayah students. To achieve this goal, the researcher carried out a diagnostic test-based study on STIBA Ar-raayah students who stood on the analysis and prediction of the underlying cause of the error to find the right solution.
In the preparation of this thesis, the author uses a descriptive research method, so that he is able to analyze errors in writing adad and then interpret and develop important points that cause these errors and mention appropriate criticisms and suggestions.
The results of this study show that most of the STIBA Ar-Raayah students make mistakes that are categorized as syntax, adjustment of muzakkar and muannas adad, change of the last harokah in the adad and change of the end of the sentence in the madud. However, this study proves that the majority of students make mistakes in adjusting the muzakkar and muannas manners. The least mistake made by students is the aspect of the last change in the manners. The results of this study also predict that most of the errors occur due to ignorance of the rules, negligence and indifference to the rules, excessive generalization, little in practicing the rules and the interference of the original language.
